Through the years, the group has seen players come and go, but there has been no more significant a change than the departure of founding member Heather Hanson.
Hanson was instrumental in the development of the band. The major reason TCMP even exists was her love of country music. Spending most of her childhood listening to country on the radio, she longed for the oppotunity to perform it....never truly believing she'd ever have the chance.

In the late fall of 2009, when she and Rice decided to create the group, she got her chance. She played a key role in designing the band's logo, selecting the music, searching for venues and gigs, and even choosing the group's name.
Her initial position in the band was on acoustic guitar, but she later decided that Banjo and Mandolin were necessary instruments to compliment Rice's acoustic and Anderson's electric guitar playing.

Having never played either
instrument before, she picked up used instruments and learned to play, making that signature sound that has been part of TCMP since its beginning. Her love of listening to country music became her love of playing country music.
Through dance halls, saloons, honky-tonks, rodeos, county fairs and summer festivals.....stage right and monitor mix three has always belonged to Heather Hanson.

Life is full of change, and the world of music is no different. Bands spend so much time together that it starts to feel a lot like family. We laugh, we cry.....but we always loved each other when we played our music.
That's why it's so difficult when a family member moves on. It is with a heavy heart that TCMP says goodbye to Heather Hanson, and the group wishes her well in all of personal and musical endeavors.
We hope you never look back, but ya never forget
all the ones who love you, in the place you left
We hope you always forgive, and you never regret
and you help somebody every chance you get
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake
and you always give more than you take
More than anything....
Our wish...for you...is that this life becomes,
all that you want it to
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small
You never need to carry more than you can hold
And while you're out there getting where you're gettin' to
We hope you know somebody loves you
And wants the same things too......
